Worst case, I'll do what I had to do to the OTHER laptop after the "creator" updated - blow the whole thing away and start over installing Windows. I"ve got a snip of the resource manager, so here it is: The only virtual memory there, is 2432MB that's system managed on the C drive, and has been since day 1.

Has a 256GB SSD for the primary drive and a 1TB HDD for image data. Normal, ordinary, boring Alienware laptop. I'm not sure where the RAID came up - this is a laptop. As far as I know, NOTHING should be getting indexed. I have checked the indexing and UNCHECKED EVERYTHING. I have DISABLED the Windows Search service. As near as I can tell, edb is supposed to have something to do with indexing, which I SHOULDN'T even be doing as far as I know. No Google Chrome.ĬURRENTLY, the thing is beating its brains out on edb.log and its neighbors. I have NOT made any significant changes, not even any MINOR changes in a while - OTHER than MS shoving that $%^YU*&^% update onto the laptop a couple weeks ago. Slowing down image processing and generally being a pain in my *ss. And it's continued churning its brains out for the entire time.
